This would ultimately be the look and feel of the work, however, there would be a narrative to it that will run through a few days. It will document just about everywhere I go.

This collage was directed at the people who think that war and violence will lead our country to the ever fleeting paradise we are all searching for. This ideal is a false one because once one war is over, there is retaliation. The retaliation eventually shifts into another useless war. When the world is at peace, perhaps we will find that we know what we had now that its gone. We will come to appreciate that which we have not yet achieved.
Strangely, I feel that the US has become a lustful country and there is no amount of power that will satisfy that lust. People seek out trauma in any form they can find it. Take reality television for example. The point of these shows is… … … I have no clue but I do know that they are not the reality we live in. They are a mockery of it, Disrespectful and irrelevant.
Proving that the things people see and the things people hear are utterly different in every aspect. We are told of the tragedies and terrible things that happen in Iraq, however, I have a couple of friends who have served and are still serving in Iraq. They have told me that the thing that infuriates them more than anything is the fact that no one ever hear about the great things that have been done there. One of these friends is part of a squad that goes through towns and aid people who have been injured or have gotten sick. We only hear that people are getting killed.

This is the collage created based on a character I had developed for a story I have been writing. Inspiration for this work is not so much drawn from the internet but the attempt to digitize a snapshot of an idea that has been used in books and story telling. I would like to make some sort of an internet inspired story based on the history of itself.
I think it would be interesting to be able to have some sort of processing that can bring text into the image but alter the text to keep the image in tact.
Another idea is the use of disruption where the text actually contradicts what the image is and at the same time breaks the image up and causes difficulty reading both the text and the image.

April 2, 2008The Feightrix has been initiated and will be undergoing massive construction now that I have registered my own domain name and such. There are many areas on my site that have not yet had anything placed in them. I intend to bolster the site with works that I have done. These will include some graphic art, studio art, internet art, installations, stories and poems I have written, and also some of the music I have produced both in Garage Band and on the piano. A few cover songs by Straylight Run and Sara Barellis and more to come will be included as well.
Any suggestions on the layout or building of my site would be greatly appreciated especially since this is one of the first sites I have ever designed. Thanks for the help and leave any comments at one of these places.
